see the shot at sfo of the flight. near the rear of the plane, benjamin was jumping off and helping others get off. benjamin talked with us at length. 20, 30 minutes about his harrowing ordeal on flight. let's listen in to part of the interview. all air traffic in and out of sfo is canceled. fire trucks rush to the scene. >> again, you can see the airplane came to rest just short of the taxi way f and exit ramp n. they are on runway 28 l. we've also heard from at least again, as i've mentioned earlier, a half dozen commercial pilots who fly this route all the time. they say the data and what they've been able to see, this is not official. but apparently because again, this guide path, this electronic system has been shut down. there has been construction on this particular runway. that this was a visual flight approach. visual rules applied. that has been confirm by san francisco international airport spokesman doug yackle. and perhaps this pilot came in at too steep an angle and then tried to overcorrect. that's when things went wrong. as he overcorrected, he essentially put the plane into glide. he didn't have much power. he got too low and tried to pitch that nose up to gain the air speed we've been talking about all afternoon. that's when the tail hit that rock retain

we'll check in with bob at sfo near sfo throughout the morning. the passengers and crew most seriously injured in the asiana airlines crash were rushed to san francisco general hospital. it's the city's only level 1 trauma for and it received 53 patients. this morning, six people remain in critical condition, including a child. a spokeswoman for the hospital said in total, 27 adults and 26 children were treated. so far, only seven have been discharged. benjamin leavy was one of the patients taken to sf general. he's a 39-year-old who happened to be sitting in an exit row when the plane crashed on the tarmac and amazingly, he ozable to walk away from the burning plane. he said he can't believe more people weren't killed. >> trying not to scream, push each other. people were so confused and traumatized. you know, no code from the captain, press for emergency landing or engine failure. nothing. >> hospital officials say the patients injuries ranged from burns and broken bone to head and spinal cord injuries. this morning, still conflicting informatio
